The SISD Model

The SISD Model (Single Instruction, Single Data Stream) can be compared to the assembly of a car before the advent of the assembly line. In this case, one person would do each task (single instruction) required for the assembly of one (single data stream) car. The fastest that the car can be built is dependent on how fast that one person can work. If that person is gone for a week, nothing gets done.
