Message Of The Day (MOTD)
This is the Message Of The Day you see when you log onto any MHPCC
system or look at the /etc/motd file. Be sure to check the
MOTD for important user information.
Job Queue Summary
This listing is a concise summary of the job queue. The following
information is provided:
- DATE & TIME: The date and time when you requested the
information.
- NODES IN USE: The number of nodes actively running jobs.
- JOB QUEUES: The number of jobs in the active queue, idle
queue, and in a non-queued state.
- AVAILABLE NODES: The number of nodes available for use. Also
shown is the availability day:hour:minute:second duration.
- NEXT DOWN TIME: The next scheduled down time for the Maui
Scheduler.
- SYSTEM RESERVATIONS:The number of nodes reserved for system use.
Typically, all nodes are reserved for system maintenance at 08:00 on
the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month.
- USER RESERVATIONS: The number of nodes reserved for
exclusive use by users.
Job Queue Contents
Job Queue Contents displays the LoadLeveler/Maui Scheduler jobs in
the active and idle queues, as well as non-queued jobs. The displayed
information includes:
- JOBNAME: The unique name assigned to each job.
- USERNAME: The user name associated with each job is masked
out in the web version for security purposes. User names are available
to those who log into the system and use the
showq
command.
- STATE: Shows the current job state, typical states are
Running or Starting for active jobs, Idle for idle and non-queued
jobs. Non-queued jobs may also be in a User Hold state.
- PROC: Shows the number of processors (nodes) allocated for a
job.
- REMAINING: Shows the time remaining for job completion in
day:hour:minute:second format for active jobs.
- STARTTIME: Shows the time the job started in day, date, time
format for active jobs.
- WCLIMIT: Shows the wall clock limit associated with a job.
Shown for those jobs in the idle queue and for non-queued jobs.
- QUEUETIME: Shows the time the job entered the queue in day,
date, time format for idle queue jobs and non-queued jobs.
